It's you.

If fixing your DNS setting cures the problem, and your IMail server is
now  freely  connecting  to remote IPs, then it has nothing to do with
port 25 traffic.

Google for 'DNS HOWTO' or similar and start learning.

If  you had had the issue before, you wouldn't be posting; it's really
not  necessary  to  mention  that  such  problems  are new to you. The
fundamental question in systems troubleshooting is "what changed?"--in
your case, plenty.
