Like I said.. I'm guessing... Maybe its the otherway around...
ezwire's DNS was down...  My experience with domain doesn't exist is because
the receiving host cant resolve the senders domain.  Either your MX got
screwed or just maybe, their DNS(s) is screwed.. Few hours later, all is
well.. Which is the main thing..

Just my 2 cents...

Thanks but as far as I am aware the MX record hasn't changed for the
last 12 months, it's the same name/ip address since 1st Novemeber
2001....

My guess is that you have just recently created/changed/updated your MX
record. That normally takes a few hours to get to the majority of server
out in the internet. That would explain why all of a sudden a few hours
later, ezwire.com accepts you transmission.
