This is best asked on the Declude Virus mailing list (by sending an E-mail
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "subscribe declude.virus your name" in the body).

Declude Virus is not writing inside the file. The problem seems to be that
the AS400 programs are sending an E-mail and assuming that the body will
not be altered in any way. If they send the file as an attachment to an
E-mail, it will arrive unaltered.

If the AS400 folks can't change what they are doing, you would need to
disable the footer option in Declude Virus.
