Phillip, Just a view from afar and not meaning to jump into you/Scott's discussion. Scott, btw, is one of the most knowledgeable people you'll have the pleasure to correspond with.

Since I already have a colocated IIS server, doesn't it make > sense for my server to handle the DNS record handling on my server? Who ever provides you with your domain, web presence provider, I believe, is whom you need to call. If you don't 'own' the iis server at the co-lo then you probably should route your mx request via them. > The confusing part in this discussion is this talk as if I can just turn > off my DNS services on my web server and everything will be fine. Your hosting company or co-lo probably maintains your dns records. ~Rick ___________________________________________________________________ Virus Scanned and Filtered by http://www.FamHost.com E-Mail System.
