Hi,
I am having a problem with web messaging.
My problem is that most of my users use double-byte characters (Japanese) and if one
uses web interface to send a message, some of characters are illegible (garbled) to
recipients.
Now, after some testing, what I found out was that there is a line
"Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable" in all messages' header. I copied a
mail to a sent.mbx and manually deleted the line then the message was OK. Of course I
am assuming because message was not sent to actual recipient but own sent mail box but
all test messages had "quoted-printable". I also added 7bit instead of
quoted-printable and again message was good. This symptom does not happen when
clients use any mail client software such as Outlook, OE or Netscape, etc.
Here is my question.
Is there a way to modify some settings so that "Content-Transfer-Encoding:" is not
added to the header or at least a message is not sent as quoted-printable? (Web
messaging only)
OR, is there a way to strip a line when message was sent by iMail user?
I appreciate any input.
Thanks
Hideki
