set up your IMail server as if it was a gateway or backup server for this
domain. See the manual and/or KB

Because the newdomain.com is on another mail server. Someone accidentally
messed up the MX records and mail is coming to this particular mail server.
I have fixed the MX records but for the next couple of days some mail will
still be arriving at this server.

    I probably don't understand something about this but why wouldn't
    you just add "newdomain.com" as a host alias to "domain.com"?
