I have inherited the technical support of a small ISP (Rinella Internet) in
Chicago Illinois that does only web and e-mail hosting. I have been lurking
as a member of the IMail discussion group for several months now and find
that 90% of what is posted here is extremely helpful in the day-to-day
maintenance of our system.

Until such time as our finances allow the uses of a third-party product to
screen for spam, we are using IMail's kill list to screen out the spam
collected by an email address that we have deliberately placed to collect
spam from whatever sources find it. So far, it seems to be working well.

My question to the group is this: Can an IP address be entered into the
kill list in place of a domain name? ie: can "@211.248.161.252" in place
of the usual "@spam.com" when the logs show "Received: from qvbbb" and
nothing else?

Thanks in advance for your assistance on this one,
Bruce Barnes
