This may be a silly question, but I've noticed in the spool file that I have messages sittingIf there is a D*.SMD file with no matching Q*.SMD file, it's a "double bounce". That means that IMail couldn't deliver the E-mail, and it couldn't send a bounce message, either. So it tried sending the bounce, but couldn't. IMail keeps the D*.SMD file in the spool directory so that "no mail ever gets lost".
there that date back months. I'm assuming these are outbound (from my customers to the world)
and not in bound. If these are undeliverable, at some point, shouldn't Imail bounce them back to
the sender as undeliverable? Do some files slip between the cracks, or am I missing something?
