No... the broken image problem is infrequent, and has been improving in every iteration of IMail. I haven't seen it too much in 7.13. You might try "/KWMimages/" in your config file, which is an absolute root reference to the images directory as served by iwebmsg. That avoids having the session security string interfering with your browser's caching of the images.
