Running 7.13 on NT We have a private list for announcements using the posters list option. Recently several messages from "outsiders" have been distributed to the users. I have not been able to figure out why.
The email that everyone gets has different senders ([EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and state that a message with a virus had been blocked. But the logs show that they come from the same account lesrodgers@(local-isp). I am contacting the local ISP about this user, but it doesn't change the fact that the sender is not in the posters list and should have been rejected. 11:17 13:48 SMTPD(34AF017E) [##.##.56.2] EHLO bigun.######.net 11:17 13:48 SMTPD(34AF017E) [##.##.56.2] MAIL From:<lesrodgers@####.net> 11:17 13:48 SMTPD(34AF017E) [##.##.56.2] RCPT To:<#####[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 11:17 13:48 SMTPD(34AF017E) [##.##.56.2] C:\IMAIL\spool\Df28b34af017ef770.SMD 6029 11:17 13:48 SMTP-(0000019C) processing C:\IMAIL\spool\Qf28b34af017ef770.SMD 11:17 13:48 SMTP-(0000019C) finished C:\IMAIL\spool\Qf28b34af017ef770.SMD status=1 11:17 13:48 64 LST #####-list message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 11:17 13:48 SMTP-(00000250) processing C:\IMAIL\spool\Q23aa0040fc9a.LST Any thoughts. Am I missing something about the use of the posters list.
