Please search the archives and KB.

Imail will grab all IP addresses, even if they are not in the Imail Admin or
registry.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Imail answering on unassigned IP

I have an IMail server that is setup with a main IP and several
virtual IP addresses.

The machine also has another IP used by another application, that is
not assigned to the Imail server.

However, if you telnet to that IP's SMTP port, it is answered by the
Imail server.

I've checked the registry and the IP in question is not assigned to
Imail.

Why is it answering on a non-assigned IP?

David
