Then don't do it. run summary reports on the log file.Does anyone have a program or way to rotate Imail log files (sysxxxx.txt)??? My log files are about 50-70MB and I would like to rotate/rename the file several times a day to keep the file size low. Trying to open a 50-70MB log file is hell...
And then based on then use unix text processing tools like grep, sed, uniq, sort, awk, etc for digging deeper and generating ad hoc queries. think of it as a text database and the text toosl as your query/reporting tools.
