The POP3 Deaemon at randoms times starts consuming all cpu cycles until the machine locks up and has to be rebooted. It can go weeks or only a couple days before it happens again. There doesn't seem to be any one particular user who is accessing the server at the time it happens. I've replaced the memory, switched to a 3Com nic, changed hard drives. Has this happened to anybody else or does anybody have any other ideas?
the usual suspects:
monstrously sized .mbx files and/or horribly fragged mailbox partition ... for starters. Len To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
