we had installed IE6 SP1 in the morning on our server. in the evening we noticed that no email was
being sent from the server to ANY email address(apart from domains on the server). all mails were in the spool. such a problem had occured in the
past too, but that was b'cos of our anti-virus. previously, this problem was solved by removing the anti-virus and installing it again. but this
time even after removing the Anti-virus, the problem is still the same. All mails (involving relay) are still in the spool. None of them are being despatched. only mails addressed to local domains are being delivered. we have checked port 25 and it is ok. We are however, receiving all mails perfectly without any problem. All mails are being received on all accounts. Can someone pls. help us address this issue at the earliest.
What do your log files say for the E-mails that you are trying to send out? Without viewing the logs, many possibilities can't be eliminated.

If you hit the "Send One" button in the IMail Administrator when viewing the queue, do the E-mails go out?

Most likely, it is a DNS issue of some sort.
