I've checked the knowledgebase and and the archives. My NIC isn't going to sleep. I also understand
that the 10054 messages mean the connection was reset at the remote end.
Do you have:

> 01:15 01:13 SMTPD(05B20122) [0.0.0.0] connect 66.197.140.121 port 36087
66.197.140.121 blocked in the IMail SMTP "Control Access" file? That would disconnect the TCP/IP connection immediately, which could potentially cause the 10054 message.
