The only way I can see this being a problem is if some mail server decides not to deliver to eitherYes and no.
MX and tries the A record instead. Is this really a problem?
It is a violation of the RFCs for a mailserver to send to the A record if the MX record exists. So with the MX record present, in theory nobody will send to the A record.
However, we're stuck with the A record for declude.com pointing to our mailserver rather than our web site, since a number of versions of IMail were broken in this way. We figured that bounces to [EMAIL PROTECTED] were worse than people who tried going to just "declude.com" rather than "www.declude.com" (although a not-very-computer-literate person recently said "I don't know why people still bother typing the "www", since it isn't needed anymore").
But, since the early IMail v7.0x's, this problem has been fixed.
