If you don't have *nix box where you can run mtr, Matt's TraceRoute, then I'm told Win 2000 pathping.exe can do nearly the same thing.


Run pathping on the Imail box so that it runs indefinitely towards some ip with with Imail is having a large number of 10054 errors. This might show which hop is screwing up (packet loss, long hop delays), or it may not. :))

But you can set this up in 2 minutes for free. And run it it on as many w2k machines as you can, towards a common target and other targets and then compare the results.
