The   workaround   is   a   custom   ODBCUSER.DLL   that  either  uses
case-insensitive encoding against a case-insensitive database or tries
multiple  permutations  against  a case-sensitive database. The custom
DLLs  that  we  have written do not have this issue. Again, though, it
really  is an issue with the back end, not the front end.

Also,  IMO,  while  case-sensitivity  would certainly be an additional
measure  of  protection,  enforcing  password length and complexity is
your real battle.
