Thanks for the reply Scott.  However, as a sometimes-programmer, I fail to
understand how Imail can write information into a log, but can't use that
same information in the bounce?

My guess is that while it should be relatively easy for IMail to include that information in the bounce messages, the Appropriate People haven't told the programmers that they need to add that feature.


And this has been going on for how long, and it's not "fixed" yet?

AFAIK, it's been going on since IMail was first released. I would guess that it hasn't been "fixed" because it hasn't been a high priority. Ironically, the people that need the feature the most (those listed in spam databases whose messages are bouncing) are the ones that don't even know they need the feature.
