Well, being a small ISP we started out with some help from others a couple years ago... not knowing a bloomin' thing. We have learned as we go. So the answer would be... that is how it was setup. The block of IPs we have assigned to us is distributed between our dialup customers (each modem has one IP assigned to it) totalling 144. We have our hosting (which we are switching over to using virtual headers now) but originally we had each imail domain on an individual IP. And 40 IPs for DSL and internal servers.
