All the "Disable SMTP AUTH reporting" option controls is whether the server says "I accept authentication." IMail _always_ accepts authentication whether it says so to a client or not. You cannot turn off authentication. A spammer knows the password to that email account. Change the password to something secure and the spammer will no longer be able to authenticate using it.
