Jeff, If you installed IMail using the IMail or an external database, the 'postmaster' alias is pre-configured to resolve to the 'root' user. The 'root' user has a pre-configured password of 'password' and to prevent abuse of the account, is disabled so that no one can access the mailbox. (This does not prevent the account from receiving mail, no one can retrieve that email while access is disabled). If you installed it with the NT database, then the alias resolves to Administrator. You will need to enable the account, if it is not disabled and either login to Web Messaging with the 'root' (or Administrator) account or setup a mail client to connect to the server as the 'root' user.
