i want to deliver all mails, not only remote, via a gate host. the gate host provides virus and spam filters.
how to configure the smtp on imail(7.15) to do this?
We have a lot of customers doing this.
You just need to set up IMail to act as a gateway (the IMail manual and Knowledge Base cover this -- http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19980116-DM01.htm is one place to start), sending all incoming E-mail to your existing mailserver.
Then, you need to set up your existing mailserver to send all E-mail to the gateway server.
Finally, you would need to change the MX records to point to the new server.
