Yah.. I have never found someone here that can tell me why we do it. I think
it is so we can know for 100% who sent a death threat or something if the
courts order us to turn over records. It's rather annoying because I have to
remember to turn off SMTP Auth in my mail client when I am connected to that
ISP. Annoying as it is tho it does provide for hard proof if we need to
track who sent a message... I mean the ISP... Whomever they might be. ;)
