Roland -

Supposedly you can use the ADDUSER command line utility to do this, the article http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20000127-DM01.htm mentions how to use it.  I wonder if you could use the "Export Users" to generate the usernames for you to use.  It doesn't specifically mention that this will work with existing users, but it also doesn't say that it won't

Seems kind of prickly though, I would definitely test the hypothesis before using it live on my mail server.

Maybe a call to the good old folks at Ipswitch would shed some light for you.

BTW - How do you plan on letting the folks know their new passwords?  Sounds like you may be in for a bunch of phone support.

Good Luck.

We have a problem where a user knows a lot of other users passwords and he has used this access to pretend to be these users. This is, of course, a MAJOR problem.
Is there any way I can globally change all of my users passwords or force them to change them themselves the next time they log on? We're using the IMail database to store the user info.
Any help anybody can give me on this is greatly appreciated.
