New tests include the COMMENTS test (which detects HTML "anti-filter" comments, while not causing false positives on legitimate comments), the SPAMDOMAINS test (which detects when E-mail from commonly forged domains, such as @hotmail.com, is sent from mailservers that are not authorized to send the mail), the NONENGLISH test (detecting E-mail in languages other than English, such as Chinese/Korean spam), the BCC test (detecting E-mail with many hidden recipients), and several others.
Declude JunkMail now has support for nearly all possible future DNS-based spam tests (such as ones that block E-mail based on the reverse DNS of the sending mailserver or the HELO/EHLO data), as well as several performance enhancements (such as fewer DNS lookups).
To help reduce false positives, a test has been added to detect E-mail with content common to legitimate E-mail (but rarely ever seen in spam). Also, a feature has been added to automatically whitelist E-mail to addresses in the recipient's address book. Per-user/per-domain whitelisting is now included, as well as whitelisting based on reverse DNS entries, the subject of the E-mail, and the HELO/EHLO data.
We have also enhanced the filtering ability of Declude JunkMail Pro, allowing the filters to automatically detect phrases in E-mail that is base64-encoded, or obfuscated by HTML codes.
After nearly 3 years of development from a company that started creating anti-spam products in 1997, Declude JunkMail remains one of the most advanced anti-spam products on the market, with many features rarely found in any anti-spam products (such as geolocation based on IP address, support for gateway and backup mailservers, per-user configuration, and more than a dozen different actions to take on spam).
