I have two questions regarding iMail v7.13:
1) Which ports need to be opened to access iMail Server Web Messaging from behind a firewall? I can t access the system from behind a SonicWall Tele3 firewall but I can access it from a dialup (slow and unprotected) connection.
http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19980513-ES01.htm has a list of all the ports that IMail uses. By default, web messaging uses port 8383. But, web administration, web calendaring, spell checking, etc. use different ports (see the URL to find the ports).
2) When enabling automatic forwarding, by accessing Change Mail Forwarding Information, all email is forwarded to the forwarding e-mail address (in this case, home) but only e-mail from within the domain is received on the primary workstation. E-mail received from outside our domain is forwarded to my home, but does not show up on the workstation in the office. All e-mail clients are Microsoft Outlook. Is there a setting that I m missing?
For forwarding E-mail, you need to use "." to signify to keep a local copy of the E-mail. For example, if you forward to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", E-mail will be forwarded to [EMAIL PROTECTED] But if you forward to ".,[EMAIL PROTECTED]", then a local copy will be kept as well.
