This is a question I’ve been working with for a couple days and got as far as I know how and am now turning to the gurus on this list.
I have IMail 8 running on an external data source (SQL Server 2000) and I want to put a few triggers on the table to synchronize a couple fields in the IMail table with another database. I have all of the triggers working exactly as they need to when doing an insert/update/delete from within SQL Server (directly changing the data) but when doing anything from IMail Administrator it fails out when creating/editing/deleting accounts (because I do a roll back of the transaction if there were errors) but I don’t know why its failing out. Any ideas or past experience with this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
On another note…when using an external data source does anyone have a good way of encrypting the passwords so they aren’t stored in plain text in the database or would IMail not be able to handle decrypting it?
