Going with the spirit of Scott, I have also setup a test account on our server....
I just checked it out, and your IMail 7.07 definitely seems to be doing something unusual. Although the attachment loads OK here, the packet sniffer shows that IMail was sending out 5 random bytes before the HTTP headers, which would definitely cause problems.
