I know you can compress data via the xcompress client through the browser. They also make an appliance at $4500.
Obviously we all know that html/ascii is grossly inefficient and easily compressable. I wrote a script in iis to compress all data it serves. it took a 500k page and made it like 60k, so i figure via appliance, the folks using iwebmsg will be able to get their data just a bit faster since i prefer to deactivate pop3. --------====tSc====-------- Timothy Hunold TestShoot.com MissBeverlyHills.com FilmSupplies.com ItsSoBig.com ICQ#: 21478689 YahooIM: TestShootCom --------====tSc====-------- ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Sanford Whiteman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Wed, 20 Aug 2003 22:19:31 -0400 >> I would think perhaps on the Declude side you could speed up by >> sending compressed data to the client. > >I'm not sure what you mean by "on the Declude side"; do you mean >compressing attachments on-the-fly?
