Hello... Thanks for help...

I have two Imail servers..... In emergencies (like we had last week), we moved from one to the other...

Our new box is a dual Zeon running w2003. We moved to it on Thursday because of the overload we were experiencing on our older servers (two PIII processors but running raid 5)..

The new server was setup with two sets of drives running RAID1, one set for mailboxes and one set for queue/spool.

Yesterday AM, our new IMail machine (which we had only been on for 1 days) lost network connectivity, although the server was running fine. If rebooted, connectivity reappeared and it worked fine until Imail started to get too much activity and then we lost connectivity again.... We changed to the second built in network card, and everything was OK again until activity built up (we added a couple of IPs at a time) and then we lost connectivity.

So, I moved back to the old server....

My question is, when moving from server to server, is there a way to 'merge' the registry keys so we don't lose any domains and other registry key settings that are on the 'other machine' (that we are merging to)? I plan on using the second machine backup and for SMTP Auth traffic taking that load off the other Imail machine (leaving POP/HTTP and IMAP).

BTW.... , we also have an IMGate machine that Len has been helping us with and all our new accounts filter through there (we are moving our legacy accounts there as well, but there are hundreds and hundreds of zone files and mx records to change...)

Second Question: Has anyone experienced the loss of connectivity problem? IPswitch told me to change brand of network cards... Somehow I don't think that is the problem because I did that on the other machine as well when suggested and that didn't help the issue at the time.

Third Question: If it isn't iMail that caused the connectivity issue (we turned off the power management feature on the card and that didn't help either...., one tech at Ipswitch had that tip)...., it must be the OS so I am going to rebuild the machine before I migrate back to it... I am thinking of going back to W2K, only because I have seen two issues that concerned me. The first one was when I couldn't change the port from 8383 to 80 using the Imail administrator (on the W2003 install)..... The change wouldn't take place...., we had to change the INI file directly after talking to Ipswitch... Also, I noticed that Imail administrator loaded very slowly when there is heavy activity (a problem I am not experiencing on W2K)...

Thanks again for your help.
