Could anyone share some insight on the format of mailboxes and single mails?
.mbx files are in standard Unix format, where a new E-mail is designated by the presence of "From <" at the beginning of a line (if an E-mail happens to have a line beginning with "From <", a ">" will be added in front of it).
Then:
If i want to parse them myself, how do I know where the headers end and the body begins?
The first blank line ("CRLFCRLF") indicates the end of the headers and the beginning of the body of the E-mail. Headers cannot have a blank line in them (although it may be possible to have a line with just spaces and tabs in the headers), and there must be a blank line before the beginning of the body.
