Getting ready to finally upgrade from version 5 to Version 8. At the same time, I also plan to upgrade to a new physical server.
Can anyone tell me if its recommended that I upgrade on the old server server, then move everything to the new server. Or, should I just backup the registry and files on the v5 system and then move them to the new system with v8?
Also, the mailboxes are currently all stored in the c:\im...\domain.com\users\... folder and I plan to move them to a seperate partition per the recommendation of many on this list. Do I need to manually change the path for each domain? Or, is there a top-level domain that I can change that will automatically change all of them, but leave the c:\im... as the program files directory, while putting the mailboxes on say d:\im...\domain.com\users\...
