Here is my configuration 1)server Imail 803 - registry - killerwebmail 4.0 (images serve from IIS40)- No antivirus - Spamming control on(10 server in the list) - incoming rules - install on D drive - 100 Domains - +/- 5000 mailboxes. Pentium 3 750 Mhz - 512 Mb Ram - nt4 sp6a + all latest patches - Microsoft DNS Server No performance issue - running stable - no reboots unless for patching nt40.
2)server Imail 803 - SQL2000 Database (same server) - killerwebmail 4.0 (images server from IIS50) - No antivirus - Spamming control on(10 server in the list) - incoming rules - install on D Drive - 100 Domains - +/- 5000 Mailboxes Dual Pentium 3 500 Mhz - 1 GB Ram - nt4 sp6a + all latest patches - Microsoft DNS Server. No Performance issue - running stable - no reboots unless for patching nt40. We notice well a loss of performance with the webmail.
