I had same problem few weeks ago I do not why but this solved the problem:

1. create new account and check if the customer can send and received.

IF no:     let him try to check with outlook express

IF Yes: (That's what happen to me)

                     1. Delete the account.

                     2. Create alias with the account name (and forward to new account)

                     3. Send him email via external mail service (hotmail or ..)

                     4. If he received it ask him to reply (it should work) - if not try another mail client.

                     5. Only than delete alias, delete account - re-create the original account.

Sorry for long story but for me it works

Did that ... Again, when TESTING ACCOUNT SETTING .. Everything is

operational and works perfectly.  It is just rejected 'instantly' when

sending to ANY email account.

If it wasn't such an important client, I would just give up and tell them

sorry... But, alas, they are important.

To fix that problem you need to check my server requires authentication in

Outlook. That is located under tools/ email accounts/ change/ More Settings/

Outgoing server/ check my outgoing server requires authentication.

That should fix the problem.

I am having difficulty with one person's email account with Imail.

The user is operating Outlook 2002 on a W2 OS system.

They can receive fine, but when sending... It instantly rejects the

sent mail with:

Your message did not reach some or all of  the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] on 10/09/2003 11:36 AM

550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable.

It does not matter what email we are sending to... They are all

undeliverable.

What we have done to correct this issue, ALL WITHOUT SUCCESS: We have

deleted the accounts. We have then remade the accounts. We have removed

Outlook and then reinstalled. We have updated Outlook to 2002. We have

installed all security patches.

Again, she can receive perfectly... Just not able to send.

Any suggestions?
