Got a DNS issue with my secondary DNS
server. It's not properly transferring the zone from the primary and the
workstation was querying the secondary. The secondary still has the old
mail server IP in the zone.

Figured it out... it's an
internal resolution issue. If I use the IP address
instead of the host name for the server I can login without a
problem.
What is weird though is that nslookup shows the
correct IP for the mail server. But, a ping shows a response
from my old mail server (which is still running).

It's the express version, so 10. I have 8
users defined. Besides, that wouldn't explain why it has been working
up until tonight.

How many licenses does your Imail server
support and how many users do you have.
I'm not sure what happens with Imail if you
run out of licenses, but it might be worth checking out.

weird. The thing appears to be running fine, it just won't allow
logins.

when you log in, do you enter the username, or the e-mail
address? Try the full e-mail address with the
password...

All of a sudden all user logins are
being rejected. I get the following message in OE when trying
to access one of the accounts:
There was a problem logging onto your
mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'SPAM Account',
Server: 'mail.jrehmconsulting.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response:
'-ERR invalid Username', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error:
0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
The same thing is happening with any
account on the server. Also cannot login to the
web interface (IMAP and POP).
I was accessing email all day
today without an issue and this all of a sudden happened when I
decided to check mail this evening. I checked other accounts
and the problem is there also.
I went into the admin and re-entered
the passwords, but this didn't change anything. A reboot also
didn't fix it.
IMail Version is 8.03
