My test install is on a Dell 4600, dual Xeon, 2 Gig RAM, RAID 5 and 2003. I haven't seen the issues I've read about here, but then again, the test install doesn't see a great deal of action.

And I'm running 6.06 on an NT4 box with no issues, except I need a faster box....and Dell is telling me that their new boxes won't run Win NT. Are some people out that there that have stable platforms? What are you using? Hi... We experienced the exact same issues with W2003.... VERY SLOW iAdmin and a queue that wouldn't quit.... After many go-rounds with tech support (who are very nice but wouldn't admit Imail had a problem with W2003)...., we went to our W2K machine and....all works fine on W2K... (sort of)... The only problem we experience is outbound SMTP seems to take priority over inbound SMTP and as a result we will have times we cannot telnet to port 25... We are moving our SMTP-Auth customers to another server to reduce the amount of outbound eMail, and we have increased the amount of listen pipes in the Queue service... Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Well after 12 hours on w2003 we had had enough there where around 5000 mails in the queue on our incoming gateways s we have switched back to our old server and on 10 minutes we have reduced the queue with 500 mails I will take this with Ipswitch tomorrow and post the result here -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of ISPhuset Nordic AS Sent: 2. november 2003 10:29 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Any Known Issues w/Windows 2003 and Imail 8.03? Dont run 8.03 but 7.13 and that have caused some problems We are running this on a 4 way Intel Xeon 1.4 ghx MP with 4 gb ram and256 mb on the raid controller. We have around 5000 domain on the server and around 60k of users. First it was an issue with the registry Ipswicth fixed this with a workaround, but after going live with it last night I must say that I'm disapointed how slow its running. It's only using around 15 % of cpu power but still i get read timeout in the logs on the gateway like this 36E9233AEC 1859 Sun Nov 2 07:52:06 [EMAIL PROTECTED] (connect to 213.236.237.140[213.236.237.140]: read timeout) [EMAIL PROTECTED] and i have a lot of mail in the queue from the stop when I changed the server even now after 6 hours. And receiving mail form the server is a pain in the but sitting on a 1 mbit line it takes 15 minutes to get 900 mail the server is on a 10 mbit. Neotwork load on the server are right now 0,12 %, It just looks like its standig there doing nothing. We upgraded form a dual xeon 2,8 with 1 gb ram on w2k and there it was using a lot of cpu therefore we wanted to upgrade but right now it looks like we have gone from bad to hell. So if anyone have any good suggestions on how to boost more power in this I would be thankfull.
