This is generally intended for ipswitch as feedback (for a fix to later versions). Anyway, it is legal to create a folder in OUTLOOK EXPRESS (using Imail as IMAP server) with a fullstop "." in the name. It works well with IMAP, problem is with webmail because Imail uses the "." character for nesting (if you have a folder/subfolder1/sobfolder2 structure, webmail shows this as folder.subfolder1.subfolder2).
