There is another way other than relay for IP address or no relay forcing SMTP authentication, but I am not going to tell you what it is because it will make you an open relay.

 

You need to either fix the IP address or fix the application. E-mail is not to be taken lightly.

We can't set the "Relay for Addresses", because we have clients with various IP's from different service providers.

It's a custom built application that's used for outgoing mail only.

Change the relay setting to Relay for Addresses, then list his/her address.

 

What e-mail client does not do SMTP authentication?

We currently have our our SMTP Security to "No Mail Relay" and have a customer that is using an e-mail client that cannot be set for SMTP authentication - Is there a way to bypass that authentication for a specific email address?
