[IMail Forum] Imail AV -Error code 1 stops mail delivering

I have IMail version 8.03 installed on a Windows 2000 Server with Anti-Virus protection enabled.

Every time the virus scanner appears to catch a virus the SMTP server just seems to start spooling emails and never sending them out.

Here is some more info

First I get this in my Event viewer:
        [Sun Nov 30 06:07:38 2003],WARNING,A virus or other malicious code has been detected. --> d:\IMail\spool\Dcf3d096800a856bf.SMD:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
        [Sun Nov 30 06:07:38 2003],WARNING,File d:\IMail\spool\Dcf3d096800a856bf.SMD is infected with virus [EMAIL PROTECTED] An infection has been found      but no repair has been attempted.

Then shortly after this starts to appear my IMail log
        20031130 064328 127.0.0.1       SMTP (091C10E9) Error from Virus scan server, code = 1

I have deduced that this error message means that IMail and symcsan cannot talk to each other.  Both services are running at the time of this error.  If I restart all of my IMail services the mail starts working again and send out all the spooled messages.  The sever works great until the next virus.

Has any one seen this happen with their server, any clues, suggestions for my self.
