Yes, I already saw that article, and I was going to post the same answer to the global vacation message query, but you beat me to it :)
In fact, I'm trying to figure out a way to modify that batch file. What I'm trying to do is schedule a daily copy of the rules (so far so good).
However, I want to avoid the following
1. Overwriting user's rules.ima. -- The posted batch avoids this by appending.
2. Duplicating the same set of rules in the user's rules.ima. -- I think this is a problem with the posted batch.
3. Overwriting or reversing any specific changes the user makes to the rules.ima. -- This why I'm looking to compare two files and get a clean output.
4. Manually adding the same rule to new users' rules.ima file. -- Scheduling takes are of this, but I need to do a file comparison.

I'd like to avoid a couple of problems and was wondering how I can compare two directory outputs of /users and obtain a third list that contains the differences between the two. FC seems like its a good choice, but it doesn't create a usable list that I can then process.
Any ideas?
