Hi All,
Hope you've had a good few days with your families etc.

I have noticed a few mentions of blue screens when running Imail. These seem to focus on Network cards etc.
I have a similar situation as follows:

I am currently trying to migrate my users from Exchange to Imail, I have a very small user base (less than 20) and Exchange is just overkill plus takes a lot more to administer.

Server: Win 2K Server SP4, 512Mb RAM, 1GB PIII with Netgear NIC
This machine has Exchange 2K and ISA installed.
I have now installed Imail on the same machine. I have setup Exchange to listen on separate ports for POP and SMTP (this is a temporary measure while I move mail across, I will turn off these services once I have everybody on Imail) and left Imail on the standard 110 and 25.
Users have mostly been connecting to Exchange via RPC from Outlook 2000 or 2002. No POP3 collection was done by local clients.
I have started to migrate to POP3 collection by local clients, to do this I have taken the Exchange server connection off the Outlook account settings and added a POP3 account which picks up on the standard POP3 port (ie from Imail). The problem comes when these Outlook clients connect to pick up their POP3 mail, almost immediately that the collection starts the server crashes with the blue screen of death.
Interestingly if I use a different e mail client (non MS) on these machines e.g. Eudora I do not have the problem. I cannot move my users away from Outlook as many of them use handhelds which link to it, plus this is only sidestepping the problem rather than solving it.

Any thoughts, solutions greatly appreciated.

Adrian
