I don't know if the IOSFW feature set has the same SMTP
filtering in it. I know I've had this problem on various mail servers (Exchange,
I-Mail, Sendmail, etc) with the Pix. Sorry if this is a red
herring!

Was this Pix? If so there was a known pix-related SMTP
issue. You have to disable the SMTP filtering on the pix.

Subject: [IMail Forum] imail behind cisco router with firewall
We are running Imail
8.05 behind a cisco 2620 with firewall. I opened ports 25 and
110.
No users using
outlook or outlook express could send e-mail to any outside e-mail
address. Error was 550- Unable to relay.
It worked ok from
web messaging. There was no problem after removing the firewall, so this
is a Cisco configuration issue.
My question is what
ports need to be open on the cisco for this to work
correctly.
Help
Thanks
