If my Official hostname is mydomain.com and aliases is mail.mydomain.com, it'll solve the vacation problem but how should I put in my dns?

In the example below:-

mydomain.com
IN MX 10 mail.mydomain.com (MX record)
MAIL IN A 202.1.1.1           (A record)
WWW IN A 202.1.1.2         (A record)
POP IN A 202.1.1.1            (A record)
IMAP IN A 202.1.1.1           (A record)
POP IN A 202.1.1.1            (A record)
SMTP IN A 202.1.1.1          (A record)
FTP IN A 202.1.1.2            (A record)
1.1.1.202.in-addr.arpa.,type = PTR
host = mail.mydomain.com       (PTR record)

Is this the correct way of doing the DNS record? Will it hit any reverse dns problem?

Regards,
Colin

What is your domain name? If it is mail.mydomain.com and your alias is
mydomain.com reverse them so that mydomain.com is your domain name and
mail.mydomain.com is the alias.
