Len, I completely agree. Having an IMgate box or two in front of an iMail box with ASSP would be the best of both worlds. Running something like Declude A/V on the server itself would give one an extremely robust, flexible and somewhat redundant (in features) anti-spam and anti-virus fighting arsenal, all at a fraction of the price that one would pay for competing commercial equivalents.
BTW, despite the rather thin documentation, I did find ASSP's installation to be very simple and straight forward. It certainly isn't as simple to set up as a typical Windows application (you've got to install PERL, then set up ASSP to run as a service, etc.), but it's a lot easier than setting up a typical Linux or BSD package. Pretty much any iMail admin could have ASSP up and running within 30 minutes or so, and without a single reboot. William Van Hefner Network Administrator Vantek Communications, Inc. 555 H St., Ste.
