I don't think you've established that at all.

I would avoid using Access in any case, but if you are experiencing
connection issues my suggestion would be first to use a "realer" DBMS
like MSDB. The Registry is much faster than both, but if you need
outside access to the data, you would stick with some kind of ODBC
connection.

Registry passwords on one machine can be used on any other machine
using the Registry database.
