I'm using Imail 7.13 on a Windows 2000 Server and I'm trying to tighten our
security by requiring everyone to authenticate with the server.

I believe I've got it setup correctly because its working for almost
everyone but I've got a Macintosh user who is having problems. He receives
the following
error message:

The SMTP server for "swilson" does not recognize any of the authentication
methods supported by Entourage. To send mail, try disabling SMTP
authentication in the account settings or talk to your administrator.

Entourage is a Microsoft product for the Macintosh, a part of Microsoft
Office.

The options he read me over the phone appear to be almost identical to the
options in Microsoft Outlook and the difference between working and not
working is just the check box for "My server requires authentication". The
radio button for "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is set.

I can see his successful connection in the logs but I can't find any failure
information. It that logged to a separate location? If so, where?

Any other hints on how to get this working?

Regards,

Brad
