Two small points:

Keep in mind that JavaScript is NOT Java. Despite the name, JavaScript
has no relationship whatsoever to whether a Java Virtual Machine is
installed, or what version. Think of JavaScript as just basic HTML
scripting. MS calls JavaScript "Active Scripting". Imail WebMail does
not use or require JAVA.

The advice to reset your IE security settings and to install a
different browser for diagnostic purposes is a good one. Try d/l Opera
(www.opera.com) (a 3MB download) and see if the problem remains. BTW,
you'll never go back to IE once you experience the power, safety, and
flexibility of Opera. :)
