Then why don't people turn off virus server notifications. I turned it off since I received so many complaints from other email providers
You got complaints because your mailserver AV program was sending out bogus notifications (notifications in response to forging viruses, which get sent to innocent victims). Your options are:
[1] If your mailserver AV program supports automatic detection of forging viruses (like the latest version of Declude Virus), you don't have to do anything, or
[2] If your mailserver AV program lets you manually identify forging viruses (like previous versions of Declude Virus), you can either keep your list up-to-date or disable virus notifications, or
[3] If your mailserver AV program doesn't let you identify forging viruses, you MUST turn off notifications.
