[IMail Forum] Authentication for gateway

I can't seem to find a way to do this, but is there a way for IMail to authenticate when using a gateway?  There is a service that I can use to relay mail for me to get around this AOL, EarthLink, etc. thing where they won't accept mail from servers on dynamically assigned circuits.  However, to do this I need the IMail server to authenticate.   I tried using my ISP as a gateway and this isn't working.  AOL and others are still rejecting my mail.
